Position: Store Clerk

Location: Central San Diego

Employment Type: Part Time 35 hours a week, Temporary to Hire opportunity

Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm

We are a small retail store supporting the mission of local organization, where every purchase helps fund programs and services that make a difference in our community. We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Store Clerk to join our team and help us create a welcoming, efficient, and mission-driven retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, answering inquiries, and demonstrating product features
• Accurately process sales transactions at the register and maintain accountability for the cash drawer, including daily closeout and deposit preparation
• Prepare and fulfill online orders, including packaging and shipping coordination
• Receive incoming inventory shipments, verify accuracy, and submit invoices to Accounts Payable
• Maintain accurate inventory records; perform regular stock counts and assist with annual inventory audits
• Create purchase orders as needed to replenish merchandise
• Organize and restock shelves; ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and accessible
• Track and update sales and inventory reports; share key metrics with leadership to inform decision-making
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth store operations and uphold a high standard of customer experience

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or customer service role
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong basic math skills with the ability to quickly process transactions and verify inventory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Immediate availability preferred
